Damn Doctors....

Hello, other bloggers, I am sorry I haven't been able to put anything new up recently. My family has been just a tad busy. Last week my mother had received a call from her cousin telling her that her uncle has been put on life support. She is waiting to find out whether he is going to start improving or if the family is going to decide to let him pass peacefully. In either case, my grandmother came into town to help out with my little brother just in case she has to go to a funeral. She (my grandma) is also in town for the arrival of our newest family member....my niece Miss Trinity Jade.

Yesterday was Mother's Day as most everyone knows. It should have been a great day for me, right!? Well not if Grace has anything to do with it. We were getting ready to leave and I put Grace on the top platform of the stairs so that I could shut the door, and I turned around and she was trying to walk off of the platform, which is about 3 ft up if not more. And for a person that isn't even 3 ft tall yet that is a long way down. To keep her from falling I grabbed her by the forearm and it slipped a little until i reached her wrist and that was when I heard a *pop*. She then proceeded to scream and cry in pain. I didn't think anything of it. I thought that maybe her wrist popped and it scared her. So I just put her into the car with her sister and we went to my mother's house. We got there and she was still screaming and crying. We waited about half an hour of her doing this and not using it or moving it. I finally decided to take her to the doctor since I did hear a *pop*. We got there and the doctor who saw her demonstrated on me what might have happened and what he will have to do to fix it. He ordered an x-ray to make sure that it wasn't broken. It turns out that when I grabbed her the pop that I heard was actually her radius (a bone in her forearm that connects to the elbow) popping out of the elbow joint and over the ligament that is supposed to keep it there. It is apparently a pretty common thing in small children. The term for it is "nurse's maid elbow". As soon as he popped it back in she was happy as she could be.

We then went back over to my parents house, where everyone was. I returned with a completely different child. We ate and hung out with everyone and then came back home.

Saturday we also went to rose garden and I took some pictures...some of which i will include in here. And that was our past few days.
